David Stuart (born 19 December 1965) is a Canadian actor, best known for his work as Pete in theSupernaturalSeason 7 episodeThe Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo.
Born inEdmonton,Alberta, Stuart grew up inFredericton,New Brunswick. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre at theUniversity of Victoria, and attended theAmerican Academy of Dramatic Arts inLos Angeles.[1]
While studying his craft, Stuart worked as a background performer in films (Bird on a Wire) and television (21 Jump Street, episode 47). His first guest-starring role was on the 1988 television seriesTime Exposures alongsidePeter Outerbridge (Lucky Number Slevin,ReGenesis). From there, he earned roles onThe X-Files,Touched by an Angel andJake 2.0. During this time, he had a supporting role on the big screen inThe Climb alongsideDabney Coleman (Domino,The Guardian) as well as in the television moviePerfect Murder, Perfect Town: JonBenét and the City of Boulder withKris Kristofferson (Blade),Marg Helgenberger (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), andRonny Cox (Stargate SG-1). Other early credits includeThree Moons Over Milford,Criminal Intent,Inconvenience,Suspicious Agenda,The Marshal[2]
More recently Stuart can be seen inSupernatural,Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,Continuum,Hiccups,Eureka,Kyle XY,Flash Gordon andWhistler. He appeared in theDanny DeVito /Matthew Broderick Christmas movieDeck the Halls and inSweet Amerika (2008) as the villain alongsideGulshan Grover (Bollywood’s legendary Badman).[2]
Stuart has performed in over 100 commercials, including aKyocera spot directed byJason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking) and theFord Mustang tribute toBullitt andField of Dreams titledCornfield, which featuredSteve McQueen.[2]
Stuart has lent his voice to a number of projects includingJackhammer, on which he also contributed sound work,Girlfriend Experience,Area 88,Daisenki andDysfunction.[2]
