David Hosking is a Britishlightweight rower. He won a gold medal at the1980 World Rowing Championships inHazewinkel with the lightweight men'seight.[1]

Hosking studied atDurham University and joined theRoyal Navy following graduation.[2] He is the father ofSophie Hosking.[3]

In 2011, he formed part of a team that broke the world record for rowing across theAtlantic Ocean.[4][5]
