David Charles Bury (born December 9, 1942) is asenior United States district judge of theUnited States District Court for the District of Arizona.

Education and career

Born inTulsa,Oklahoma, Bury received aBachelor of Science fromOklahoma State University in 1964 and aJuris Doctor from theUniversity of Arizona College of Law in 1967. He was in private practice inTucson,Arizona, from 1967 to 2002.

District court service

On September 10, 2001, Bury was nominated by PresidentGeorge W. Bush to a new seat on theUnited States District Court for the District of Arizona created by 114 Stat. 2762. He was confirmed by theUnited States Senate on March 15, 2002, and received his commission on March 19, 2002. He took senior status on December 31, 2012, and was succeeded by JudgeJames Alan Soto.
