David Francis Zawatson (born April 13, 1966)[2] is an American former professionalfootball player who was anoffensive guard in theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theCalifornia Golden Bears.

Life

Zawatson was born in 1966, inCleveland Ohio.[2] He attended theUniversity of California, Berkeley. He was selected in the second round of the1989 NFL draft by theChicago Bears.[3]

He played for the Bears (1989),New York Jets (1990),[4]Miami Dolphins (1991), andAtlanta Falcons (1992).

He is currently[when?] the district director for PE, recreation and athletics for theGreat Neck Public Schools and the coordinator for the Nassau BOCES PE Consortium.[citation needed]

He is currently married to Panagiota Kanakaki.[citation needed]
