David Oliver McCormick (July 10, 1943 – March 17, 1986) was an American professionalfootball player who playedtackle in theNational Football League (NFL). He played in the NFL for two seasons, one each with theSan Francisco 49ers andNew Orleans Saints, the latter of which he was a part of theirinaugural season roster.[1] He played in a total of 16 games: 14 with the 49ers and two with the Saints.[2]
McCormick was born inWinnsboro, Louisiana, and attended Rayville High School inRayville, Louisiana. He attendedLouisiana State University, where he playedcollege football for theLSU Tigers football team. In 1965, he was selected as a first-team All-Southeastern Conference player by theAssociated Press andUPI.[citation needed]
