Darko Velkovski (Macedonian:Дарко Велковски; born 21 June 1995) is aMacedonianfootballer who plays as acentre-back or as adefensive midfielder for Hungarian clubNyíregyháza Spartacus and theNorth Macedonia national team.
On 3 January 2024,Dinamo București announced the signing of Velkovski, who prior to this was a free agent for more than 6 months.[1] Velkovski made his debut for the team on 27 January 2024, in the 1-2 loss againstRapid București.[2] On 12 February 2024, he scored his first goal for the club, in the 2-0 away win against championsFarul Constanța.[3] For this performance, he was selected in the Liga 1 Team of the Week.[4]
He was released by Dinamo in June 2024.
He made his senior debut forNorth Macedonia in a June 2014friendly match againstChina and as of then, he has earned a total of 41 caps, scoring 3 goals.[5][6][7]
On 8 October 2020, he scored his first national goal againstKosovo in theUEFA Euro 2020 qualifying play-offs.
