Danny Bass (born March 31, 1958) is an American former professionalfootball linebacker who played in theCanadian Football League (CFL). He played for theToronto Argonauts in 1980, theCalgary Stampeders from 1981 to 1983, and theEdmonton Eskimos from 1984 to 1991. He won aGrey Cup for the Eskimos and played in another two for them. Bass was voted one of theCFL's top 50 players (#44) by Canadian sports networkTSN.[1]
Bass was the MVP ofMichigan State University,[1] his senior season of 1979. He is the all-time leader in career tackles for the Spartans.
Bass was inducted into theCanadian Football Hall of Fame in 2000.[2]
