Daniel Ross is an American actor and producer. He won the inauguralChildren's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice Performance in a Preschool Animated Program for his role asDonald Duck inMickey and Minnie Wish Upon a Christmas.
Ross started learning impressions when his mother taught him how to speak likeDonald Duck, often speaking to him in her impression. Ross studied Musical Theatre in college and became a background actor and standin in theWashington metropolitan area. Eventually he and his friend Justin Tifane started making indie films includingNinjas vs. Zombies.[2] Prior to becoming a voice actor, Ross was living inFrederick, Maryland and worked atTarget. He would often network in the mornings and work at night. He later moved toLos Angeles to pursue his voice acting career.[3]
Ross is best known as the third person to have ever officially voicedDonald Duck, beginning withMickey and the Roadster Racers/Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures and other specials and shorts.[1] He has also portrayed the voices ofLucky the Leprechaun for Lucky Charms Cereal,Starscream, Hound, andMixmaster inTransformers: The Game.[4] He additionally voices Gizmo and Stripe from theGremlins franchise for the gameMultiVersus.
He can be seen in the filmsNinjas vs. Zombies,Ninjas vs. Vampires,Ninjas vs. Monsters,[5] as well asEduardo Sanchez'sLovely Molly.
