Daniel de la Torre Alvaredo (born 4 January 1975) is a Spanish film and television director and screenwriter fromGalicia.
Daniel de la Torre Alvaredo was born on 4 January 1975 inMonforte de Lemos.[1][2]
His debut film, action thrillerRetribution, world premiered at the 2015Venice Days,[3] also earning him a nomination for theGoya Award for Best New Director.[4] It was followed by gangster thrillerGun City (2018) and adventure filmLive Is Life (2021).[5][6] He directed the36th Goya Awards ceremony held in Valencia in February 2022.[7] In addition to his film work, he has co-created withAlberto Marini the thriller television seriesLa unidad andMarbella [es].[8][9][10] In 2024, de la Torre began shooting spy action filmZeta.[11]
