Daniel Raba Antolín (born 29 October 1995) is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as aright winger forLa Liga clubValencia.
Born inSantander,Cantabria, Raba joinedVillarreal CF in July 2014 at the age of 19, from Club Bansander.[3] He was assigned to theC team, and made his senior debut on 30 August of that year by coming on as asubstitute forMario González and scoring in a 1–3 home loss againstCD Castellón in theTercera División.[4]
On 3 January 2016, Raba first appeared withthe reserves by replacingAlfonso Pedraza in a 2–2Segunda División B home draw withRCD Espanyol B.[5] Definitely promoted to the B side ahead of the2016–17 campaign, he scored his first goal for them on 28 August in a 1–1 draw againstCF Gavà in the same venue,[6] and renewed his contract on 4 June 2017.[7]
Raba made his first-team debut on 25 October 2017, replacing fellow youth graduateLeo Suárez in a 1–0 loss atSD Ponferradina in theround of 32 of theCopa del Rey.[8] His first match inLa Liga took place on 5 November, when he came in forCarlos Bacca late into the 2–0 home win overMálaga CF.[9]
On 23 November 2017, Raba scored his first professional goal, his team's first in a 3–2 victory againstFC Astana in thegroup stage of theUEFA Europa League.[10][11] His first in the league arrived ten days later, but in a 3–1 away defeat toCD Leganés.[12]
On 5 August 2019, Raba joinedrecently relegated clubSD Huesca on a season-long loan deal.[13] He returned to Villarreal in July 2020, but featured rarely until terminating his contract on 31 January 2022;[14][15] his soleUEFA Champions League appearance took place on 23 November 2021, as a late replacement in the 0–2 home loss toManchester United in thegroup phase.[16]
On 2 February 2022, Raba signed a short-term contract withGranada CF.[17] He totalled only 24 minutes during his spell, also beingrelegated from the top flight.[18]
On 24 June 2022, Raba agreed to a two-year deal atCD Leganés in theSegunda División.[19] He scored eight goals during the2023–24 season, achieving promotion as champions.[20][21]
In June 2024, Raba extended his contract for a further year.[22] In the2024–25 campaign, he again netted eight times (nine in all competitions), but was unable to avoid relegation.[23]
On 5 June 2025,Valencia CF announced the signing of Raba on a two-year contract, effective on 1 July.[24]
Raba's younger brother,Pablo, is also a footballer. Adefender, he was developed atRacing de Santander.[25]
