Dana Lajeunesse is a Canadian politician, who was elected to theLegislative Assembly of British Columbia in the2024 British Columbia general election.[1] He represents the electoral district ofJuan de Fuca-Malahat as a member of theBritish Columbia New Democratic Party.
Born and raised inJordan River,[2] Lajeunesse worked in forestry until an accident left him awheelchair user.[3] He retrained inmechanical engineering atCamosun College, later working as an engineering technician and an instructor at the college. He served on the municipal council of the district municipality ofSooke from 2019 until his election to the legislature.[2]
He won his provincial assembly seat in the2024 British Columbia general election, although due to his narrow lead his victory was not confirmed until arecount finalized the result over a week after election day.[1]
