The race requires that all drivers are 17 years old, while Sargeant was 16 at the time, though exceptions had been made in the past.[5]

For 2015, Sargeant signed withHScott Motorsports to drive the No. 51Chevrolet SS in theNASCARK&N Pro Series East, with sponsorship from GALT.[3][6] He debuted in the series in February 2015 atNew Smyrna Speedway with a second-place finish.[4] Sargeant also ran part-time in theK&N Pro Series West, where he scored a victory in the season's first race. Notes

[edit]
  1. ^abRace was held as a combined event, with competitors from the K&N Pro Series West competing along with competitors for the K&N Pro Series East. The race was run with a series-based point distribution, where drivers received points and statistical credit for their finish relative to other drivers in their series, not to the whole field in general.
