Dalai Lama Awakening is a 2014 feature-lengthdocumentary film,[1] produced and directed byKhashyar Darvich and narrated by actorHarrison Ford. With over 30 minutes of additional footage and a new score,[2] the film is a Director's Cut and revision ofDalai Lama Renaissance, the award-winning 2007 documentary.[3] The film presents the journey of innovative Western thinkers who travel to India to meet with theDalai Lama.
The film features Dr.Michael Beckwith (The Secret), quantum physicistsFred Alan Wolf andAmit Goswami (What The Bleep Do We Know), radio host and authorThom Hartmann, authorVicki Robin, philosopherVandana Shiva, biologistElisabet Sahtouris, social scientistJean Houston, and others.
The film opened in the U.K.[4] in 2014 and played to sold-out audiences[5] during its 2015 tour of the U.S.[6] and Canada.[7]
