Dagvin R. M. Anderson (born 1970) is aUnited States Air Forcegeneral who serves as the commander of theUnited States Africa Command. He previously served as director for joint force development of theJoint Staff. Prior to that, he served as the vice director for operations of the Joint Staff. He has also commanded theSpecial Operations Command Africa.[1][2][3][4][5]
In June 2025, secretary of defensePete Hegseth announced that Anderson was presidentDonald Trump's nominee for commander of theUnited States Africa Command.[6]
In July 2022, Anderson was nominated for promotion to lieutenant general and appointment as director for joint force development of theJoint Staff.[7][8]
