David "D.A."Doman (born August 3, 1984), known professionally asD.A. Got That Dope (stylized asd.a. got that dope), is an American record producer fromChicago, Illinois. He began his career in the mid-2000s working with Chicago-based underground artists such as Bump J, Mikkey Halsted, andKidz in the Hall. He handleddrum programming for record producerJ. R. Rotem for several years by 2011, after which he moved toLos Angeles to further pursue work in the music industry.[1]
D.A. has since been credited on the singles "Privacy" byChris Brown, "Zeze" byKodak Black, "Taste" byTyga, "Godzilla" byEminem andJuice Wrld, and "Demons" byDoja Cat.[2][3] In 2019, Doman discovered American rapper and singer24kGoldn, for whom he has served as A&R.[4]
In 2009, he co-produced the single "Everybody in Love" forJLS, which earned platinum certification by theBritish Phonographic Industry (BPI) and peaked atop theUK Singles Chart.[5]
