Curtis Island National Park is onCurtis Island, Queensland, Australia, in theGladstone Region,[1] 474 kilometres (295 mi) northwest ofBrisbane and 40 kilometres (25 mi) southeast ofRockhampton.
The island features coastal heaths,littoralrainforest,sand dunes and beach ridges andsalt flats.[2] The national park encompasses theCape Capricorn headland.
No facilities are provided for campers. Bush camping is permitted in three camp grounds.
The island is home to a variety of bird species.[3]
The average elevation of the terrain is 16 metres.[4]
