Croatian–Ottoman Wars (Turkish:Osmanlı-Hırvatistan Savaşları, Croatian:Hrvatsko-osmanski ratovi) can refer to one of the several conflicts between the Kingdom of Croatia (as part ofKingdom of Hungary-Croatia andHabsburg Monarchy) and theOttoman Empire:
The Kingdom of Croatia-Hungary gradually lost most of its territory on the eastern Adriatic coast to the Ottomans, leaving only the possessions of theRepublic of Venice inDalmatia, for whom the Croats took part in theOttoman–Venetian Wars.[citation needed] Of particular note for the history of Dalmatia was theMorean War.
