Cressa orKressa (Ancient Greek:Κρῆσσα) was anancient Greek[1] city located inancient Thrace, on theThracian Chersonesus. It is cited in thePeriplus of Pseudo-Scylax, in the second position of its recitation of the towns of the Thracian Chersonesus, along withAegospotami, Cressa,Crithote andPactya.[2] It may be the same town cited byPliny the Elder asCrissa on thePropontis.[3][1]
Its site is located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northeast ofAigospotamoi,Turkey.[4][5]
