Acrêpe maker is a cooking device used to makecrêpes,galettes,pancakes,blinis ortortillas. It should not be mistaken for a regular pan or acrêpe pan.
Crêpe makers were originally largecast-iron plates set over thefire to cook cereal-based batters. The machines have since evolved and the cast-iron plates were set on top ofstainless steelframes. These first machines wereelectric machines, and later on, gas crêpe griddles were developed as well. Although professional cast-iron crêpe makers usually need to beseasoned, non-stick cast-iron griddles can now be commonly found on the market.
