Creative Capers Entertainment is an American animation studio founded by Terry and Sue Shakespeare with David Molina in 1989. Based inAltadena, California, it specializes inFlash andhand-drawn animation in variousfeature films,television series,commercials,CD-ROMs andvideo games.
The studio was originally populated by animators who worked forSullivan Bluth Studios Ireland Limited, including Mark Koetsier, Silvia Hoefnagels, Stefan Fjeldmark (one of the directors ofTalking Tom & Friends),Greg Tiernan (co-founder of Dagda Film and founder ofNitrogen Studios), Shane Zalvin,Shawn Krause[1] and Adam Burke. It also operated a division calledCreative Capers Cartoons, also known asThe Hollywood Cartoon Company, which was mainly used for providing additional animation for some feature films. The studio was also an uncredited additional animation facility forDisney'sBeauty and the Beast,Aladdin andThe Lion King, and most notably provided the CGI animation for the direct-to-videoBionicle trilogy.
