Crai, also spelled asCray, is a village andcommunity in the county ofPowys, Wales. It is within theBrecon Beacons National Park and historically inBrecknockshire. The population of the community at the2011 census was 241, and includes the village of Crai, the hamlet of Felin-Crai,[1] and many dispersed farms around the valley of theAfon Crai. The river is dammed 2 km / 1.5 mi southwest of the village to formCrai Reservoir.[2] Crai means fresh, raw water.[3] The famous Llywel Stone (seeLlywel) was found close to the Crai/Trecastle boundary.
