Coyote is anAmerican comic book series created bySteve Englehart andMarshall Rogers.
The characters first appeared inEclipse magazine #2–8. It would later be reprinted in a colortrade paperback,I Am Coyote.
Afterwards, a new comic book series started atMarvel ComicsEpic Comics line, that ran 16 issues. It was notable for the first published work ofTodd McFarlane. According to Epic editor-in-chiefArchie Goodwin, artistSteve Leialoha's departure after issue #2 caused deadline problems from which the series never fully recovered, leading to its early cancellation.[1]
Coyote #14 was anintercompany crossover, with theFirst Comics characterBadger appearing. Englehart said that he andBadger writerMike Baron had been talking about doing a crossover with the characters for a long time.[2] Issues #15 and 16 were a two-part story intended to wrap up the major plot threads of the series.[2]
