TheCortland Red Dragons football program is the intercollegiateAmerican football team for theState University of New York at Cortland. The team competes in theNCAA Division III, and is a member of theEmpire 8. The team plays its home games at James J. Grady '50, M '61 Field at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex or Grady Field for short inCortland, New York. The Red Dragons are led byTom Blumenauer, who has served as head coach since 2025.[2] The Red Dragons won their first NCAA Division III national championship in 2023.
