Corporate Air faced $455,000 in FAA fines[when?] for allowing a small airliner to carry passengers on 80 flights despite having an engine that needed repair. The Federal Aviation Administration said that the airline had flown a Beech 1900C without repairing its right engine, which was consuming excessive amounts of oil. It was later determined[who?] that the engine was being operated in accordance with the engine manufacturer's specifications for leaks, and its use was deemed legal.
