Corning School District is a publicschool district based inCorning, Arkansas,United States. The school district encompasses 364.77 square miles (944.7 km2) of land,[citation needed] including portions ofClay County andRandolph County. Clay County communities include Corning,Datto,Knobel,McDougal, andSuccess.[2] Randolph County communities includeReyno and almost all ofBiggers.[3]Peach Orchard is not in the Corning district, but is in anexclave of theGreene County Tech School District, and anenclave of the Corning district.[2]
The district provides comprehensive education for more than 1,050 prekindergarten through grade 12 students and is accredited by theArkansas Department of Education (ADE) andAdvancED.[4]
TheKnobel School District consolidated with the Corning School District on July 1, 1985.[5]
In May 2004, the formerBiggers–Reyno School District consolidated with the Corning School District.[6] The consolidation became effective July 1 of that year.[5]
