Cornelis "Cor" Pot (born 8 June 1951) is a Dutchfootballmanager and player. He is currently the assistant manager of theCuraçao national football team.[1]
Pot started his career as amidfielder with the academy ofSparta inRotterdam, and subsequently moved to theAjax academy.
Pot was sacked as manager of theNetherlands U21 national team after its elimination from the2013 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in the semifinals and subsequent criticism by the coach of the senior team,Louis van Gaal.[2]
Besides his native Dutch, Cor Pot speaks English, German.[citation needed]
He has two sons, both are football players.
