Coop Norrbotten Arena is anindoor sporting arena located inLuleå,Sweden.[1] Theseating capacity of the arena is 6,150, and it is the home arena of theLuleå HFice hockey team.[2]
It was opened on 13 September 1970, and was calledDelfinen[3] ("TheDolphin") until 2002 when it was refurbished and thenaming rights were sold to the local division of the Swedish retail companyKooperativa Förbundet, who renamed itCoop Arena. In 2010, it was renamedCoop Norrbotten Arena, although it's still occasionally referred to as "Coop Arena".[4]
The arena hosted the first semi-final ofMelodifestivalen 2011 on 5 February 2011, and hosted the third semi-final ofMelodifestivalen 2020 on 15 February 2020.
