Conner Michael Frankamp (born July 16, 1995) is an American-Georgian[1] professionalbasketball player who last played for theNew Taipei CTBC DEA of theTaiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL). He played college basketball for theKansas Jayhawks andWichita State. He was named to the third team all-Missouri Valley Conference as a junior, averaging 9 points and 3 assists per game. Frankamp entered the2018 NBA draft but was not selected in the draft's two rounds.
Frankamp played forWichita North High School inWichita, Kansas under coach Gary Squires. During high school, he was a four-star recruit who was ranked No. 46 in the ESPN 100 and No. 34 on Rivals’ Class of 2013 list. As a senior at Wichita North, he averaged 31.1 points, 3.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game and, for the second-straight year, was tabbed as one of Kansas’ top five players for all classifications byThe Wichita Eagle.
Frankamp played for one season for theKansas Jayhawks and for three seasons withWichita State. During his first college year with Kansas, Frankamp was a bench player, averaging 2.6 points per game. The next year, he transferred toWichita State.[2] During his tenure with the team, Frankamp was named to the Third team All-Missouri Valley Conference as a junior and was theMissouri Valley Conference MVP the same year.[3] As a senior, he averaged 10.6 points and 2.2 assists per game with the Shockers.[4]
After goingundrafted at the2018 NBA draft, Frankamp joinedBeroe of theNBL, He went on to average 19.3 points and 4.3 assists per game.[5]
The following year, Frankamp was added to theLos Angeles Lakers Summer League roster but only appeared in three games and was not offered a contract by the team.[6] Later this season, he joinedRethymno Cretan Kings of theGreek Basket League.[7] During the season, Frankamp played in theGreek League All-Star game and competed in the three point contest.[8] (20.8 points and 4.1 assists per game).
On June 9, 2020, Frankamp signed withUCAM Murcia of theLiga ACB.[9] He scored 24 points in a 93–80 win againstMovistar Estudiantes on September 24.[10]
On June 21, 2021, Frankamp officially signed with Russian clubZenit Saint Petersburg of theVTB United League and theEuroLeague.[11]
He left the team after the2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.[12]
On April 8, 2022, Frankamp returned to Greece, signing withPromitheas Patras.[13] On May 13 of the same year, he abruptly parted ways with the club, just before the start of theGreek Basket League playoffs. In only 8 games, Frankamp averaged 13.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1 steal, playing around 27 minutes per contest.
On May 18, 2022, he has signed withCSP Limoges of theLNB Pro A.[14]
On July 14, 2022, he signed withGaziantep Basketbol of theBasketbol Süper Ligi and theFIBA Europe Cup.[15]
Frankamp has played for the AfterShocks, a team of Wichita State alumni, competing inThe Basketball Tournament (TBT), an annual single-eliminationbracket tournament.[16]
On October 8, 2023, Connor Frankamp signed withCB Breogán of theLiga ACB and theBasketball Champions League.[17]
On November 4, 2024, Frankamp signed with theNew Taipei CTBC DEA of theTaiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL).[18] On January 17, 2025,New Taipei CTBC DEA terminated the contract relationship with Frankamp.[19]
Frankamp played with the junior youth national teams of the United States. With the USA, he played at the2011 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship, where he won a gold medal. He also played with the USA junior national team at the2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, where he also won a gold medal.[20]
Frankamp later gained Georgian citizenship, in order to become a member of the senior men'sGeorgian national team.[21]
