Configfs

Configfs is aRAM-basedvirtual file system provided by the 2.6Linux kernel.[1]

Configfs appears similar tosysfs but they are in fact different and complementary. Configfs is for creating, managing and destroyingkernel objects fromuser-space, andsysfs for viewing and manipulating objects from user-space which are created and destroyed bykernel space.[2] It is typically mounted at/sys/kernel/config (or more rarely at/config).
