Compiled language categorizes aprogramming language as used with acompiler and generally implies not used with aninterpreter. But, since any language can theoretically be compiled or interpreted the term lacks clarity. In practice, for some languages there are both compilers and interpreters.[1] In some environments, source code is first compiled to an intermediate form (e.g.,bytecode) and then interpreted.
