TheCombined Scottish Universities was a three-memberuniversity constituency of theHouse of Commons of theParliament of the United Kingdom from1918 until1950. It was created by merging the single-member constituencies ofGlasgow and Aberdeen Universities andEdinburgh and St Andrews Universities.

Boundaries

The constituency was not a physical area but was rather elected by the graduates of the Scottish Universities ofSt Andrews,Edinburgh,Glasgow andAberdeen.

The constituency returned threeMembers of Parliament to Westminster, elected bySingle Transferable Vote. The by-elections used thefirst past the post voting system.

ThisUniversity constituency was created by theRepresentation of the People Act 1918 and abolished in 1950 by theRepresentation of the People Act 1948.
