Colonarie is a town in the east of the island ofSaint Vincent inCharlotte Parish,Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It stands on the banks of theColonarie River five kilometres to the south ofGeorgetown.
Colonarie Vale was a plantation owned by Walter Conningham in 1829. The plantation was 407 acres in extent.[2]
Ralph Gonsalves, prime minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines since 2001,[3] andSusan Dougan,Governor-General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines since 2019,[4] were born in Colonarie.
