Colo Shire was alocal government area in theSydney Basin region ofNew South Wales, Australia.
Colo Shire was proclaimed on 7 March 1906, one of 134 shires created after the passing of theLocal Government (Shires) Act 1905.[1]
The shire offices were inWilberforce.[2] Other towns in the shire includedNorth Richmond,Sackville,Glossodia,Kurrajong,St Albans andEbenezer.[2]
In 1961 the population of Colo Shire was 5452.[1]
Colo Shire was amalgamated with theMunicipality of Windsor to formHawkesbury Shire on 1 January 1981 per theLocal Government Areas Amalgamation Act 1980.[3]
