Coffee Creek is anunincorporated community inFergus County,Montana, United States. It is located alongMontana Highway 81 in west central Fergus County, several miles northwest ofDenton. Coffee Creek has a post office with the ZIP code 59424.[3]
A post office has been in operation in Coffee Creek since 1914.[4] The community took its name from nearbyCoffee Creek.[5]
Coffee Creek used to be a large town when railways were the main form of transportation. There were a number of reasons for the town's decline including fires, supply and demand, and the invention of the car.[citation needed]
Coffee Creek's name was based off the dark brown color of the waterway through the community.[6]
