Coastal Greek town in ancient Thrace

Cobrys orKobrys (Ancient Greek:Κῶβρυς)[1] was a coastalGreek town inancient Thrace, on theThracian Chersonesus.[2] It is mentioned in thePeriplus of Pseudo-Scylax[3]

It was anEmporium of theCardia.[3]

There have been unconvincing attempts to identify Cobrys withCrobyle.[2] Cobrys' site is located 1 mile (1.6 km) south ofKavak Suyu, inEuropean Turkey.[4][5]
