Clune's Pasadena, also known asFox Pasadena,Jensen's Pasadena, andT. D. & L. Pasadena, was amovie theater located at 61 W.Colorado Boulevard inPasadena, California.
W. H. Clune opened Clune's Pasadena in March 1911, months after hisflagship theater opened indowntown Los Angeles'sBroadway Theater District.[1] This theater's opening consisted oflive acts, including singer Lilly Dorn, storyteller Frank M. Clark, and a saxophone sextet.[2]
Clune's Pasadena and three nearby theaters were bought byTurner & Dahnken in 1921.[3] This theater was remodeled byBalch andStanbery forFox West Coast Theaters in 1930.[4]
The theater closed in 1953[4] or 1957.[5]
Clune's Pasadena featured a rooftop sign with over 2,000 lamps and ground-floor stores next to the theater.[2]
