Clifford Austin (born March 2, 1960) is an American former professionalfootballrunning back who played five seasons in theNational Football League (NFL) with theNew Orleans Saints,Atlanta Falcons, andTampa Bay Buccaneers. He playedcollege football for theClemson Tigers, where he was a running back on the 1981 national championship team and was selected in the third round of the1983 NFL draft. Austin played in 58 career NFL games, starting three.[1]
