Clifford Austin (born March 2, 1960) is an American former professionalfootball player who was arunning back for five seasons in theNational Football League (NFL) with theNew Orleans Saints,Atlanta Falcons andTampa Bay Buccaneers. He playedcollege football for theClemson Tigers and was selected in the third round of the1983 NFL draft. Austin played in a total of 58 career NFL games while making three starts.[1]
Austin was also a star running back on Clemson's 1981 championship team.
