Claudio Nizzi (born 9 September 1938 inSétif,Algeria[1]) is anItalian comic author.[2]

He started his career as comic scriptwriter in 1963, writing for the comics magazineIl Vittorioso.[3] During 1969 he started working forIl Giornalino creating many characters (Larry Yuma - in collaboration withCarlo Boscarato,Capitan Erik,Nicoletta andRosco & Sonny). His partnership withSergio Bonelli Editore started in 1981, writing some stories forMister No. In 1983 he started writing stories forTex Willer. In 1988 he createdNick Raider, the first detective story published by Sergio Bonelli Editore.[3]

Nizzi appointedRenato Queirolo as the supervisor of the Nick Raider series in 1992, and continue to write for Tex Willer. In 2001 Nizzi createdLeo Pulp.

He was given theU Giancu's Prize at theInternational Cartoonists Exhibition in 2002.
