Claudinei dos Santos Oliveira (born 29 September 1969), known asClaudinei Oliveira, is a Brazilian professionalfootballcoach and former player who played as agoalkeeper.

Playing career

Born inSantos, São Paulo, Claudinei started his professional career withSantos in 1989, but failed to make an appearance for the club. He subsequently representedJaboticabal,Nacional de Uberaba,Mamoré,[1]Araguari Atlético Clube [pt],Central Brasileira Pinhalense [pt] (two stints),Caldense,Olímpia,Portuguesa Santista,São Bento,Remo,Tuna Luso,Nacional-SP andFerroviária,[2] retiring with the latter in 2003.[3]

Coaching career

Oliveira began his managerial career as a coach at his first club Santos, joining the under-15 squad in 2009 and leading them to a Campeonato Paulista under-15 title.[4] The following year, he was promoted to under-17s and won the Campeonato Paulista of the category. In 2011, Oliveira was assigned to the under-20s. He went on to win both Campeonato Paulista in 2012 andCopa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2013; the latter came after a 29-year absence.[5]

On 31 May 2013, afterMuricy Ramalho's dismissal, Oliveira was appointed manager of the first team inSérie A.[6] His first game in charge occurred the following day, a 1–1 home draw againstGrêmio,[7] and his first victory came on 12 June, in a 1–0 home defeat ofAtlético Mineiro.[8]

Oliveira remained in charge of the main squad until the end of the season,[9] leading the side to a seventh place overall. After being relieved from his duties and being replaced byOswaldo de Oliveira, he signed withGoiás.[10]

On 14 April 2014, after losing theCampeonato Goiano toAtlético Goianiense, Oliveira was sacked.[11] Two days later, he was appointed manager ofParaná.[12]

On 3 September 2014, Oliveira was appointed at the helm ofAtlético Paranaense.[13] Dismissed the following 15 March,[14] he was namedVitória manager two days later,[15] but was sacked on 20 May.[16]

On 25 November 2015, Oliveira returned to Paraná for the ensuing season.[17] He was relieved from his duties on 13 June of the following year,[18] and was namedAvaí manager on 25 August.[19]

Oliveira managed toachieve a top-tier promotion in his first season, butsuffered immediate relegation in his second. On 19 April 2018, he was sacked.[20]

On 25 April 2018, Oliveira replaced sackedNelsinho Baptista at the helm ofSport Recife.[21] On 12 August, after a 3–1 home loss againstSão Paulo, he left the club,[22] and returned to Paraná for a third spell three days later.[23]

On 16 October 2018, Oliveira resigned from Paraná and moved to fellow first division strugglersChapecoense.[24] Despite avoiding relegation at the end ofthe season, he was sacked the following 17 March, and returned to Goiás on 23 April;[25] on 4 August, after a 6–1 loss to former side Santos, he was dismissed.

Oliveira withBotafogo-SP in 2020

On 17 February 2020, Oliveira was appointed manager ofBotafogo-SP, replacing sackedWagner Lopes.[26] He helped the club avoid relegation in the2020 Campeonato Paulista, but resigned on 20 November after only five wins in 22 matches.[27]

On 9 December 2020, Oliveira returned to Avaí in the place ofGeninho.[28] He again led the club to another promotion to the first division in2021, but was sacked on 6 February 2022, after a poor start of the new campaign.[29]

Oliveira was named in charge ofOperário Ferroviário on 20 March 2022,[30] but was sacked exactly four months later.[31] On 24 July, he returned to Sport after nearly four years,[32] and left on a mutual agreement on 16 November, after failing to achieve promotion.[33]

On 1 December 2022, Oliveira was appointed manager ofVila Nova also in the second division.[34] He was dismissed on 4 August 2023, after a poor run of form which took the club from the first to the seventh position,[35] and returned toChape five days later.[36]

Sacked from Chapecoense on 10 February 2024,[37] Oliveira was named head coach ofGuarani two days later.[38] He was also dismissed on 27 April, after a poor start in the2024 Série B,[39] and took overLondrina in theSérie C on 15 May.[40]

On 4 June 2025, Oliveira resigned from Londrina to take overPaysandu in the second division.[41] He was sacked on 5 September, with the club in the last position,[42] and took over fellow league team Ferroviária fourteen days later.[43]

On 10 November 2025, Oliveira was dismissed fromAFE.[44]
