In 2014,Courtney Solomon launched a production company titled Cinelou Films.[1] In October 2014, it was announced that the company would be launching a distribution division titled Cinelou Releasing, and its first film would be the drama filmCake, directed byDaniel Barnz and starringJennifer Aniston.[2] Cinelou's sophomore film was theEddie Murphy-starring drama filmMr. Church, directed byBruce Beresford.[3] In 2016, the company produced the adventure comedy-drama filmBurn Your Maps (2016), directed byJordan Roberts and starringVera Farmiga.[4] andThe Comedian, in development for a number of years, directed byTaylor Hackford and starringRobert De Niro.[5]

Cinelou signed a deal withWarner Bros. to distribute their next six films internationally.[6]

Cinelou also produced the film adaptation of the war drama novelThe Yellow Birds, directed by Alexandre Moors and starring Alden Ehrenreich, Tye Sheridan,Jack Huston andJennifer Aniston.[7] The film premiered at Sundance in January 2017.[citation needed]
