Chytrium orChytrion (Χυτριόν),[1] orChytrum orChytron (Χυτρόν),[2] also known asChytum orChyton (Χυτόν)[3] was a town ofancient Ionia.Strabo claims that it was here that the city ofClazomenae was initially founded.[1]

Its site is located southwest ofUrla,İzmir Province,Turkey.[4][5]
