TheChurch of the Brethren in Nigeria (Hausa:Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria (EYN), literally "Church of Children of the Same Mother of Nigeria") is anAnabaptistChristian denomination fromNigeria with close to 1,000,000 members.[1] It has hundreds of pastors and hundreds of parishes.[1] It has been established in the 20th century.[1] The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria hasbible colleges and schools.[1] It joined theWorld Council of Churches in 1985.[1] Furthermore, it is a member of the Christian Council of Nigeria and theChristian Association of Nigeria.[1] The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria is the largest national body ofChurch of the Brethren in the world.[2]

EYN buildings inMaiduguri were destroyed byBoko Haram[3] as a part of2009 Nigerian sectarian violence.
