Christopher HooleyFRS FLSW (7 August 1928 – 13 December 2018)[1] was a Britishmathematician and professor of mathematics atCardiff University.
He did his PhD under the supervision ofAlbert Ingham. He won theAdams Prize ofCambridge University in 1973. He was elected aFellow of the Royal Society in 1983.[2] He was also a Founding Fellow of theLearned Society of Wales.
He showed that theHasse principle holds for non-singularcubic forms in at least nine variables.[3]
