TheChristian Reformed Fellowship of India -CRFI - is aContinental Reformed denomination, established inIndia, in 2006, by missionary fromChristian Reformed Churches of Australia.[2][3][4]
In 2006, theChristian Reformed Churches of Australia started church planting in the states ofMadhya Pradesh,Gujarati,Rajasthan andMaharashtra. These churches organized themselves into a denomination called the Christian Reformed Fellowship of India.[2][3][4]
The denomination began to send its candidates for pastoral ministry to the Dehradun Presbyterian Theological Seminary, which is why it started to have contact with other Reformed denominations in the country.[3][5] Consequently, the denomination joined theReformed and Presbyterian Fellowship of India.[2]
From the growth of the denomination, in 2019, it was formed by 300 communities (churches and congregations), served by 80 evangelists.[2]
The denomination is a member ofWorld Reformed Fellowship[1] andReformed and Presbyterian Fellowship of India[2] and receives assistance fromProtestant Church in the Netherlands .[6]
