Christian Görke (born 17 March 1962) is a German politician forDie Linke and was deputyMinister-president of the federal state ofBrandenburg from 2014 to 2019.

Life and achievements

Görke was born 1962 inRathenow and became a teacher in 1988.

In 1985 he joined theSocialist Unity Party of Germany and afterGerman reunification became member ofDie Linke, serving as the party's federal chairman inBrandenburg from 2014 to 2018.[1]

He became aMember of the Bundestag in the2021 federal election, contestingCottbus – Spree-Neiße but coming in fifth place.[2]
