Christian "Büdi" Blunck (born 28 June 1968 inHamburg) is a formerfield hockey midfield player fromGermany.
He represented theMen's National Team at the1992 Summer Olympics inBarcelona, Spain, winning the gold medal[1] and being named theBest Player of the Olympic Tournament.[citation needed] He was also on the side that competed at the1996 Summer Olympics inAtlanta, United States, where they finished fourth.
Blunck's motherGreta also played for the German national team. He resigned from the national squad in 1998.[citation needed] He played club hockey in Germany forHarvestehuder THC.
