Maria-Christine Soetewey (marriedVan Vlierberghe) (born 19 August 1957 inKapellen) is a retiredBelgianhigh jumper.
She finished ninth at the1980 European Indoor Championships,[1] twelfth at the1980 Olympic Games,[2] ninth at the1982 European Indoor Championships,[3] sixth at the1983 European Indoor Championships,[4] fifteenth at the1983 World Championships,[5] fourth at the1984 European Indoor Championships,[6] seventh at the1985 World Indoor Games,[citation needed] and fourteenth at the1987 European Indoor Championships.[7] She also competed at the1984 Olympic Games without reaching the final.[2]
She became Belgian champion in 1979, 1980 and from 1982 to 1987.[8]
Her personal best jump was 1.94 metres, achieved in July 1983 inBrussels.[9]
