Chris Regan is an American comedy writer and filmmaker. He is has been a writer forFamily Guy since 2013, where he currently serves as a Co-Executive Producer.[1] From 1999 to 2006, Regan was a writer onThe Daily Show with Jon Stewart,[2] where he won fiveEmmy awards, twoPeabody Awards, and was nominated for aWriters Guild of America award.
Regan was born in theBronx, raised inUlster County and graduated fromNew Paltz High School. He has a degree fromIthaca College.[3]
Regan is an Emmy-award winning writer. In addition to being a writer onFamily Guy andThe Daily Show, Regan has written forTalkshow with Spike Feresten,The Burn with Jeff Ross,Lopez Tonight, andThe Jeselnik Offensive. He has written comedy pilots for20th Century Fox,Comedy Central and in 2011, developed a pilot withThe Jim Henson Company andBunim/Murray Productions.[4]
Regan has written several books. Regan was a co-author of the best-sellingAmerica (The Book).[5] His book,Mass Historia: 365 Days of Historical Facts and (Mostly) Fictions, was published byAndrews McMeel in Fall 2008,[6] and he was the co-author of the humor book/memoirShatner Rules withWilliam Shatner.[7] His essays have appeared inNew York magazine.The Daily Beast,[8] andUSA Today.
In 2017, Regan portrayed game show hostMonty Hall in theShowtime comedy/drama seriesI'm Dying Up Here.
Regan resides inLos Angeles.[9]
