Chris Curtis (born 17 March 1994)[1][2] is a BritishLabour Party politician serving as theMember of Parliament (MP) forMilton Keynes North since2024.[3][4]
Curtis is fromMilton Keynes. He graduated from theUniversity of Exeter in 2015 with aBachelor of Arts (BA) in Politics.[5]
He is atheme park enthusiast.[6]
Curtis is a pollster by profession and worked as a Political Research Manager forYouGov.[7] He was a political researcher for them in 2017.[8] He was later Head of Political Polling atOpinium Research.[9]
In 2022, he alleged his former employer had stopped him from publishing the findings of a survey following a TV debate during the2017 election campaign.[10] He clarified his position after YouGov founderNadhim Zahawi was forced to deny he had wielded any influence.[11] Curtis also worked for think tankLabour Together.[12]
Curtis voted in favour of theTerminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which proposes to legaliseassisted suicide, in November 2024.[13]
In November 2024, Curtis was appointed co-chair of theLabour Growth Group, an influential caucus of pro-growth Labour MPs.[14] Since taking the post he has made a series of high-profile interventions on economic policy and the cost-of-living crisis.[15][16]
