Chraime

Chraime (Hebrew:חריימה,Arabic:حرايميharaime) is a spicy fishstew with tomatoes fromNorthern Africa. The name of the dish comes from the Arabic word for "hot".[1][2]

Chraime is traditionally eaten by Jews onErev Shabbat as well as onRosh Hashanah andPassover for theSeder.[3][4][5] Libyan-Jewish immigrants have popularized the dish inIsrael.
